Fresh. Tasty. New. Juno Restaurant

Juno Logo

The continuing seasons are superbly represented in this new logo for JUNO Restaurant. The carefully placed arrows wonderfully portray the pursuit for the freshest ingredients used in the restaurant’s ever-changing menu. Some, including me, might see the arrows depicting a dinner plate as well. At the center of this activity, the word mark JUNO is providing a solid connection between the seasons. Well done!

The Cloudrock mark had already been in the works when we started the Cloudrock project. We took the mark, cleaned it up, but left it’s imperfect angles and rock-etched feel. We really feel it now compliments the brand story successfully.

Juno Brand Is Go!

We've just launched the JUNO brand, an eclectic Northwest dining destination for foodies in the base of the Arctic Club Hotel. We built the brand around the concept of 'tasting the seasons' which ties back to JUNO's seasonal transformation both in menu and environment. Check it out!

Show and Tell: The New Sheridan Edition

The New Sheridan Hotel has been a great project to be a part of. It really has it all: the beautiful setting of Telluride Colorado, a great legacy, the history of the wild west, rich textures and patterns, the beautiful interior design finesse of Nina Campbell, and the branding by a wonderful group of people in Seattle known as Urban Influence. In this post Id like to walk through some of the highlights on this project.

The Leasing Studio: Inspiring Connection

Vision, connection and retail magic are all superbly integrated in this modern mark created for The Leasing Studio. The clean no-nonsense typeface successfully portrays a sense of looking towards the future. The progressing line extending above the two i’s creates a bridge between the two words and echoes building structures. The Leasing Studio’s whole brand language evolved from the ethos contained in this one mark.

Last week we spent five amazing days on location capturing landscape, lifestyle and adventure sports photography to tell this one-of-a-kind story. With the help of Amos Morgan ,we set out on a photoshoot adventure that would leave a seriously lasting impression.

One of the most fun websites I’ve ever had a part in creating has had a successful year at the award shows. The Frontier Room website, a delightful website for a popular Seattle BBQ restaurant, was awarded a Webby Honoree, a regional ADDY Gold award, and a Horizon Silver award.

Behind the Scenes: Cloudrock Photo-Shoot

We just got back from one of the craziest photo shoots in the history of Urban Influence. We spent 5 days in Moab, UT running around the desert with an entourage of models, stylists and our favorite photographers, Amos Morgan and Shane Nelson. Each day lasted a modest 18-20 hours, with back-to-back shoots in Moab's sprawling landscape–We lived off Cliff Bars and learned that an extreme timeline can turn photography an extreme sport.

Ready. Set. Go.

Excited to be collaborating on the rebrand of The New Sheridan Hotel, Pete Wright visited Tellurude, Colorado this week to begin the process. First order of business was a meeting with General Manager Ray Farnsworth to get a feel for the project goals from the client’s perspective. Next up was a good old-fashioned tour of the property and the charming town of Telluride to absorb a little brand environment.

The Arctic Club Hotel Website is Now Live

The long-awaited Arctic Club Hotel website is now live–minus the frostbite. It carefully balances the hotel’s historic tradition and all the amenities of a modern day on-line large chain hotel. The rich color scheme and ornate details further extend the Arctic Club Hotel's already first-class brand language. Rethinking the Experience: Cloudrock

What does it really mean to offer an exceptional customer experience? Many organizations claim to do this, but often fall victim to a lack of ingenuity and inability to see solutions outside their industry safe zones.

For Cloudrock, a high-end development in the middle of the high Utah desert, mediocre service was not an option. Cloudrock came to us to build a brand that truly resonated with their vision. We were tasked with facilitating a customer experience that matched the luxury aspirations that Cloudrock had in mind for their up-and-coming desert community.

Official Site of the Oklahoma City Ugly

Oh my goodness. Can it get any worse? I think it just did… Not only did they take one of the main reasons I made the move to Seattle away from me, the Supersonics, but they gave it one of the worst names, the Thunder, and brands (see here) imaginable. Wow, that website, can you say clear hierarchy? What they did was kill one of the best brand experiences and replace with one of the worst in recent sports memory. You’re given the chance to completely start fresh, history is being made, and this is your first impression?

The New Sheridan Hotel has unveiled Telluride’s only nitrogen Wine Bar and Parlor Cafe to coincide with the aspirational positioning established by the Hotel re-brand. The parlor will be serving high-end coffee beverages and light fare for those coming in fresh off the slopes. Check it out!

UI Lands One Pacific

Urban Influence has been awarded the rebranding of the One Pacific development in San Diego by Terramar. While the project is new, the site of the development is a historic, local landmark— a once prized and artfully designed police headquarters. One Pacific is to be outfitted for high-end retail and dining in an atmosphere embodying the distinct, local character.

We will be providing Brand Strategy, Naming, Logo ,Marketing Collateral, Copywriting, Website and Backend Development. Keep an eye on the blog for updates to come!

One Pacific Is Now Old Police Headquarters

San Diego's Landmark Old Police Headquarters is renamed.

Designed by master architects in the 1930s, this elegant depression era complex was a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to housing police dispatch, jail and court in one central location.

The Parlor at New Sheridan Hotel

Apparently quite a bit. When New Sheridan Hotel was looking to name their new bustling café, they turned to us for some sound advice. The Lounge, Buffet, Beer Hall, Watering Hole, Saloon, Gin Mill and Tap Room were just a few names thrown around at the beginning, but the name Parlor kept coming back around again and again. The Parlor serves as a go-between for the patrons of the New Sheridan Hotel Chop House Restaurant and Historic Bar. Go get your food and drink on.

New Sheridan Hotel Website

Today the New Sheridan Hotel’s new website went live. It’s a very handsome site that features superb attention to detail, especially in the headers, ornate framework and patterned photo collages. A lot of care and hours went into getting those intricate patterns made. Also, don’t forget to check out the super high-resolution photo gallery, as it is one of my favorite pages. It makes me want to visit Telluride right now.

A Grand Re-Opening

On Friday December 19th, a new era in hotel service began in Telluride, CO. Six months in the making — this celebration marked the re-opening of the New Sheridan Hotel, Chop House Restaurant, Parlor Café, and Historic Bar. The opening was a huge success exquisitely wrapped in all its rebranded glory.
