Pocketing the Last Frontier
Setting out to create a brand
Founded in 1917 as a club for adventurers from the Yukon gold rush, the Arctic Club was reborn as a boutique hotel and bar in 2006. We were asked to work with renowned historical interior designer Candra Scott to create a cohesive brand around this proud heritage. We translated several of the elements she used into environmental graphics, signage, external marketing pieces and the website. The final touch was the creation of the Polar Bar walrus logo – a nod to architectural elements of the building’s facade.
