Space...

To be honest, I'm a huge nerd. I've blogged about one of these sites before, but that was right before we transitioned into our new format, and sadly it has been lost in cyberspace. But its worth sharing again, mostly because I've recently rediscovered it.

Why I Like Apple's Ping: Initial Impressions

Ping

With release of the latest iTunes 10, Apple has thrown it's hat into the social media ring. Ping is an addition to iTunes which allows people to spy on friends, strangers, and celebs and discuss the one thing you're most likely to have in common: music. Apple makes no illusions about Ping - this is a service created to help you buy more music. But the way it does it is delightful and engaging.

Miniature Masterpieces

I recently was introduced to the art of Dalton Ghetti, who has been doing some astounding work at near-microscopic size. To be honest, I have never seen anything like these tiny sculptures. The detail is immaculate, and it's hard to fathom how achieving it is even possible.

Old is GNU Again

Old is GNU Again

Throwback memorabilia is hot these days. From sneakers to jerseys some things are just destined to come back in style. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes technology can comeback, too. So, Kobe or Michael? Michael, no contest. At least, not yet, ha.

Tying the Knot!

Mike Mates & Rachael Knight Wedding

It's been an especially busy month for me with my wedding just days away. Being in strategic creative makes an event like this all the more fun with opportunities to think outside the box and create a truly unique event that encapsulates our personalities and relationship. Anyone who's planned a wedding before knows there's a lot of pressure to architect the "perfect" day, however if our wedding invitations are any indication of the big day's success, then we're off to a great start.

A Ghost in the Phone: An Open Letter to Steve Jobs

Ghost in the Phone

Much like marriage, as my iPhone and I continue to discover our relationship together, I have started to notice quirks that were never there at the onset of our relationship. For instance, the subtle way my phone drops calls when someone flicks a lightswtich. Or the way Facetime makes anyone using the forward facing camera look like Jabba the Hut. But perhaps the most fascinating quirk that I've recently discovered with the iPhone 4G is that it seems to have a mind of its own.
